Photographic Communication - Preserving Heritage:

Advanced digitization technologies are opening the door to unprecedented conservation,
preservation, restoration, and dissemination of our tangible cultural heritage. Situated in Jerusalem,
a city steeped in cultural heritage, it was only natural for HAC to pioneer an international course
devoted to technological, social, and theoretical developments in this field. The five-month course
that opened in October 2021 was led by Prof. Moshe Caine of the Department of Photographic
Communication. The teachers included 19 practitioners from Israel and Europe. In addition
to Israeli students, the 13 international participants represented an impressive list of countries
including Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, England, Norway, New Zealand, and Cyprus.

Promoting Internationalization:

Dr. Arik Segal, a Lecturer in HAC’s Department of Politics and Communication, specializes in
the application of advanced technologies in innovative dialogue structures. Arik recently facilitated
a workshop designed to provide researchers with networking and marketing tools for use on
social media. The workshop was part of an event organized by the Inter-College Forum for
Internationalization that focuses on networking through social media and academic platforms as a
means for promoting efforts to expand internationalization.
