“The Secrets    Learning                                   Earlier this year, thirty two students

                                                            Dialogue Program, an elective class of joint
                                                            activities for Jewish and Arab Israeli students

                excellence, the Dean of Students annually
                presents the Dean’s Awards for Excellence
                in Community Service. This year HAC
                bestowed honors upon twenty students
                who demonstrated outstanding community-
                building efforts through exceptional volunteer
                work with organizations serving the elderly,
                the disabled, youth at-risk, and other needy
                populations in both East and West Jerusalem.
                HAC fosters this spirit of community service by
                requiring each student who receives financial
                aid to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours with
                one of some forty schools and community-
                based organizations throughout the City.
